What does this privacy policy cover?

This Privacy Policy covers the Ark Auction Service treatment of personal identifiable information that we collect when you are on this website.

Information Collection and Use

Ark Auction Service is the sole owner of the information collected on this website. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Ark Auction Service collects information from our users at several different points on our website. We use your information to facilitate the services we provide you in the sale and distribution of products and services that you request.

Ark Auction Service collects information that you want us to have in order to keep you informed of future auctions, items at auction and if you want us to conduct an auction for you. We ask for your name, address, phone number and email address only to keep you informed on the topics mentioned above.

Ark Auction Service website also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address. This is used in order to track where our customers come from who are visiting our website. We also collect non-personally identifiable information though our Internet log files, which record data such as, browser types, domain names, and other anonymous statistical data involving the use of the website. This information may be used to analyze trends, to administer the website, to monitor the website's use, and to run reports on usage of media assets. We may link this information to personally identifiable information for the above mentioned and other purposes, such as personalizing your experience on the website and evaluating our Internet systems.

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Cookies streamline browsing by saving data that you would otherwise have to reenter continuously. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Most cookies are "session cookies," meaning that they automatically delete from your hard drive at the end of a session. When you close your browser, the cookie simply terminates.

The Ark Auction Service website uses your information for three main reasons:

1. To locate where our traffic is coming from
2. To fulfill your auction requests
3. To possibly contact you for news updates and future auctions. Upon registration, we will hand you a paddle number, a card printed with your personal number for the sale. If you are successful in your bidding, the auction house notes down your paddle number and when you are done with your bidding, you can settle your purchase with the cashier even prior to the end of the sale. All paddle numbers are returned to the registration desk after the sale.

2. Ark Auction Service may share your information to provide the product or service you requested.
You may request at any time the removal of your name and information for our updates or news at any time by just sending an email. We will honor your request immediately.
